[mythtv-users] mtd problems

I just reinstalled my myth box with Ubuntu Feisty Herd 5 (admittedly a
pre-release copy).  I seem to not be able to make any DVD rips.  I tried
both ISO and perfect with no success.

Here are the errors I'm getting in the log:

I know there is a problem with udev in Herd 5 that is putting the dvd drive
under floppy group (vs cdrom), but I should have been able to get around
that by adding the mythtv user to the floppy group (and restarting mtd).

Any thoughts as to why this might be happening?
