[mythtv-users] Ticket #3031: Recording will not commence until a PMT is

jppoet and I have  a problem making recordings using the DVB interface.   Apparently the developers believe this is minor and doesn't break MythTV.  I disagree since I have two DVB cards (air2pc hd5000 and KWorld ATSC110) that both experience this problem. They fail with this error to the point where they are useless.  I can use MythTV but only for SD using an old BT878 card (not HD or ATSC).  My SD OTA reception is not very clear so I'm eager to move to ATSC recordings. 

1.  Anyone else experiencing this problem?  (Symptoms, no HD recording is made and and an error to the effect that "DVB(0) Recording cannot commence until a PMT is received"   is dumped over and over to the error log)

2.  Should we consider passing the hat to gather some cash to "hire" one of the DVB developers to fix the problem?  I'm certainly willing to contribute.

My programming skills don't extend to Linux C and progressed beyond K&R only if supported by the M$ Visual Studio crutch so all I can do is beg and be supportive.  But if we are not the only ones with the problem, maybe we could get the bug reclassified?
