Recordings take their settings from when the recording rule was
created.  So if you are recording the same programmes every week,
changing the global value will not have any affect unless you delete
the recording rules and recreate them.  If this isn't your problem,
maybe you have different recording profiles (though I don't know if
different profiles can have different early/late settings).
