Correct. Once  you exit the edit screen you will have a saved cutlist 
for that recording. At this point you can do a mpeg-mpeg transcode to 
cut the start and end or you can use mytharchive with the "use cutlist" 
option enabled to make a dvd out of it. Either way will remove the cut 
parts.
