Well, before I setup my NFS I selected MythVideo on my frontend and 
there was a strange folder, I forget what it was called, but after 
several clicks I got to my video files that are not recordings. Its all 
my anime avi's. So I think somehow MythVideo can use the streaming 
stuff. Maybe a MythVideo plugin dev can clarify.

In the end I still setup NFS, its easy and takes no time.
