[mythtv-users] Slow recorded programs viewing but fast on other menu's

Are you doing something crazy like deleting all the PNG preview images? 
If so, you'd get the exact same behavior you're experiencing.  And, Myth
couldn't fix the problem if the user running mythfrontend doesn't have
write permission to the recordings directory.
