[mythtv-users] FireRec: No Input in 15 seconds

I'm currently using myth .20.1 from atrpms with an SA 3250 connected via
firewire. Everything is working perfectly except if I try to watch or
record something for 30-40 minutes consecutively, then I get an error on
the frontend  which drops me back to the main menu, and this in the
backend.

socket went unconnected.

Now I can watch live tv for hours if I'm willing to flip around every 20
minutes, and if I see this error and get kicked out of live tv I can jump
right back in without any errors but this has happened every single time I
try to stay on a channel for more than about 30 minutes.
As I said this is an SA 3250 on a p2p connection.
Could it be the cheap firewire card I'm using?
