[mythtv-users] HD-3000 channel scanning broke on clean Fedora 7 install?

I did a clean install of Fedora 7 x86_64, installed mythtv-suite from atrpms, managed to get my PCHDTV HD-3000 tuner to work with dvb-atsc-tools 1.0.5 (dtvscan finds channels, dtvsignal monitors them correctly), but scanning OTA HDTV in mythtv-setup fails to find anything and I get these kernel log messages:
Jun 1 22:51:09 localhost kernel: or51132: Modulation type(0) UNSUPPORTED
Jun 1 22:51:13 localhost last message repeated 10 times
Jun 1 22:51:14 localhost kernel: or51132: unknown status 0x00
Jun 1 22:51:14 localhost kernel: or51132: Modulation type(0) UNSUPPORTED
Jun 1 22:51:23 localhost last message repeated 22 times
Jun 1 22:51:24 localhost kernel: or51132: unknown status 0x00
Jun 1 22:51:24 localhost kernel: or51132: Modulation type(0) UNSUPPORTED
Jun 1 22:51:27 localhost last message repeated 8 times
Jun 1 22:51:27 localhost kernel: or51132: unknown status 0x00
Jun 1 22:51:27 localhost kernel: or51132: Modulation type(0) UNSUPPORTED
Jun 1 22:51:34 localhost last message repeated 14 times
Jun 1 22:51:34 localhost kernel: or51132: unknown status 0xba
Jun 1 22:51:34 localhost kernel: or51132: Modulation type(0) UNSUPPORTED
etc, etc.
Any ideas? Myth problem, broken kernel driver, the usual pilot error, ? Also, mythtv-setup segfaults on exit. Kernel is 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7, mythtv is 0.20.1-157.fc6.93. Myth was working on my old FC6 installation, kinda wish I'd backed that up rather than start from scratch. Should I build from the svn source and give that a try, or is that asking for trouble?
