[mythtv-users] Text message notification of recording

Hi,

I wrote a small script which sends an SMS / Text message when mythtv
completes recording an programme. If it's of use to anyone you can
download it from http://www.vodafonebetavine.net/web/MythSMS/

Unfortunately you'll need to register with the web site to send any messages.

Does anybody know how to get mythtv to invoke a user job before the
programme starts recording? Ideally I'd like to get a message when
something begins recording.
