This probably isn't possible, but might be a good Wishlist item. 

Every night at 11 and 11:30 I record the national and local news. Monday to 
Thursday I record The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. All run sequentially 
on the same channel, and produce 2 or 4 separate recordings. Then, at 11:30, 
when the first recording is done and mid-flagging (it's only 20 minutes) I 
start watching it and pick through each subsequent recording from my All 
Programs list.

Is there some advanced way to use a Playlist to do this?
