I can only go down to 9629. No combination of v4l/XvmcUsesTextures
fixes my inability to adjust the picture. Anything earlier than 9629
fails to compile against my very new kernel (2.6.19.2).

Assuming I downgrade my kernel, I wouldn't want to go any older than
8774, since I would then lose support for my 720p modeline for my
display; older drivers were unable to get me a working 720p
resolution. Going older would require me to reconfigure my X and
MythTV settings for the new resolution.

It's not impossible to test, but it starts getting sufficiently
inconvenient to encourage me to just live with pain.

But thanks for the troubleshooting pointers; for now I'll just hope
that some future round of mega X/nvidia upgrdaes fixes things.
Otherwise, if things get annoying enough, at least now I have a list
of things to try.

Thanks,
