All of the packages seemed to install without errors, despite the checksum
errors.

To temporarily disable checksums, do I set gpgcheck=0 in yum.conf?

Did all MythTV packages install, despite the checksum errors? You
could disable checksum verification temporarily in your yum.conf file
and see whether the installation proceeds normally. The mc.sql could
well be missing due to a failed checksum stopping its source package
from being installed.
