[mythtv-users] MythTV - help please!

Hi all,

My first message looks like it failed to get through, so I'm trying again.

I'm beginning to really believe that 'MythTV' is actually that - a myth. 
I have been trying to get mythTV to do what it is claimed to do (allow 
television content to be seen on linux-based machines!) for over a year 
now. Twelve frigging frustrating months. In that time I've seen at least 
one new version of Fedora and at least half a gig of changes to my 
current libraries via yum. I cannot even get the Australian television 
station config file to appear in the appropriate place when trying to 
configure the 'backend' (I think in frustration I renamed it the 
arsehole in the end).

I give up. I'd really like to get this working, but I cannot see how it 
is possible. It simply does not want to work on linux. I don't know 
where else to turn to - so, in the same way as we RTFM when all else 
fails, I now admit defeat by turning to the MythTV users list...
