I was about to answer exactly that, you just beat me :)
I believe I wrote in a previous email that I made a mistake when I first
built this adapter and the TTL line was connected directly to my Denon
receiver resulting in a fried port. Fortunately, the only thing that was
actually damaged was a circuit board track and a diode so I was able to
repair it.
IIRC the board in discussion was the ASUS M2NPV-VM. For that it works
fine. It's the one I have here.
