[mythtv-users] Kernel 2.6.22, IVTV 1.0.0, and PVR-350

Hi,

I am struggling with getting Myth to work on my "new" box. Since I've
been fighting with it for almost a year, my box isn't so new anymore. I
started on Mandriva 2007 with the 2.6.17 kernel, but that had series
issues with IVTV. Now I've change to Mandriva 2008 which uses the 2.6.22
kernel. My IVTV output from dmesg suggests that I am just using what
comes stock with the kernel (IVTV 1.0.0). Please note that this is a 64
bit box and a 64 bit distro.

If I compile the newer 1.0.3 version from the ivtvdriver site, will my
dmesg output change to show the 1.0.3 version?

I have also read that the newest versions of Myth from Subversion are
required to work with the 2.6.22 kernel and the PVR-350. I will try this
approach again, but my first attempt was unsuccessful. Perhaps I didn't
have the latest IVTV driver.

What does one need to start (modprobe) in order to ensure all modules that
Myth needs are running? So far I've only done modprobe ivtv, which
appears to start at boot anyhow.

Please refer to the link of my first post to see the errors that I've
received when trying to view Live TV with my current setup.

Thx!
Scott
