It should be included in packages soon.  At least ATrpms, Ubuntu, and
Gentoo packagers are working on including (or are now including) that
and a couple of other minor patches for SD support.

Even without the suggested runtime patch, mfdb runs automatically.  It
just runs once every period (which is one day unless you've changed
settings you probably didn't mean to change).

Not having the patch is nothing to worry about.  It's more of a concern
for SD/TMS than it is for users.  :)  So, to help out, feel free to
upgrade once your packager makes a new version with the suggested run
time patch available.
