If you specify how you want to connect to the LCD and Projector it would 
simplify...
E.g. if you are using VGA there are numerous cheap splitter solutions 
(with various quality levels), if you are using DVI directly you need a 
DVI splitter (typically more expensive) or if its HDMI you need a HDMI 
splitter.

At least HDMI switches (for multiple inputs) exist with remote control 
which might be of interest, if the same applies to splitters is more 
than I know.
If you are planning to use different connections you obviously need to 
convert at some point, before or after the split (or both).
