[mythtv-users] Removing unwanted channels - lots of them!

Hi,
I'm slowly getting used to my mythtv system, however one thing which is nagging
me to fix now is the hundreds of channels I seem to have but cannot watch?

I'm in the UK and using the xmltv grabber to get the channel listing
data from Radio Times HQ. I have a uk_rt.xmltv file with 260 entries!
I have two identical digital/freeview tuner cards in.
When I look at the EPG in myth I see a lot of channels (even more in
the Mythweb listings it seems) most of these channels I cannot
receive.

There is details in the FAQ to go through and remove unwanted channels
but it seems very long winded considering I probably only need 20
entries?

Is there a quicker way, or a better starting point I should use?

Thanks,

Mike

p.s. This may make a difference. In future I would like to have Myth
control my Sky box and be able to record from Sky and of course change
channels over. I have a separate capture card installed for this. Is
this better leaving for now and worrying about when I am ready?
