[mythtv-users] No Livetv on frontend without backend

You appear to have had very many (at least 17 from the TVRec msg)
capture cards defined in MythTV. If you are trying to launch LiveTV
and MythTV is picking a capture card that is not working properly -
there seems to be an ivtv? error message in the log above - then
LiveTV will fail. There is an option to avoid LiveTV/recording clashes
which will choose the lowest priority TV card for watching LiveTV.

How many capture cards do you have in all of your systems? When you
try to watch LiveTV on a frontend and it fails, what do you see in the
*frontend* logfile. Turn on playback logging in your frontends and
record logging in your backends on your MythTV network.

If you are using an ivtv card, does it work outside of MythTV (i.e.
command line or in mplayer)?
