[mythtv-users] Trouble removing ads with mythtranscode (again) - wiki is wrong?

I followed the instructions on the wiki page:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Removing_Commercials
I am using the RemoveCommercials script at:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Script_-_RemoveCommercials
Yet it doesn't work. I discovered a previous thread on this mailing list
from 4/13 where someone said:
> Try this using the chanid and startime options instead of -i $INFILE.

This seems to work (except STARTTIME is NOT in the format indicated but
rather just 20070413061323 for the example above). But why is the wiki
wrong? Why does the removecommercials script on the wiki not work? Also it
seems the first "mythcommflag -f $VIDEODIR/$FILENAME" in the
removecommercials script is not needed if your mythtv is setup to
automatically flag commercials (as mine seems to do by default) - is this
right?
Thanks for any advice...
-Jim
