Don't know about this.  I'll let some UK rt users comment on it.

The channel priority should remain a user-settable option in Myth.  So, 
basically, those who are using the +1 listings should decide for 
themselves whether the negative priority is appropriate.

Using it has consequences as explained at 
http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-12.html#ss12.2 and 
http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-12.html#ss12.6 (under "Channel 
Priority").
