I agree! I too have RAID-5 for the same reasons...

Also very little of the data on that RAID-5 array is so critical I need
backups, and the little that is is backep up to a USB harddisk... That
should cover for all problems but an all-out fire in my house...

I suspect however that at that time my data will be the least of my
worries!  :-o
