[mythtv-users] how to use Java-based UI(user interace) from mythtv interface

I have never developed a plugin or anything but I believe you can have
it configured so pressing a mythTV menu item causes an external
application to launch.  Therefore, you could just have that external
application being a Java application.

Perhaps someone who is wiser could confirm whether my thoughts are correct.
