[mythtv-users] Re-setting Find 1 Weekly Recording

Here in the UK one of my favourite shows, The Apprentice returned last
Wednesday. It's shown on BBC1 on Wednesday with a repeat on BBC2 the
following Tuesday.

In the early hours of saturday morning I had finished setting up my
"proof-of-concept" MythTV box. Even though it's an old machine with not much
disk or memory it was surprisingly useable. Kudos to the developers. :)

One of the first things I did was set up a recording for The Apprentice with
the "Record one showing of this per week" option. When I checked the
"upcoming recordings" list, it showed that the Tues showings were the ones
that were going to get recorded. I guess that makes sense since the first ep
in the EPG would be the Tues repeat showing of ep1. However I don't want to
wait a week to have the next ep available so I highlighted the ep 2 Wed
showing (marked "L") and put an override on it to record anyway. I looked at
this again last night after the repeat of ep1 and thought maybe I could
"fix" it. So I highlighted all episodes showing as due to be recorded and
marked them as "do not record" and then highlighted the Wed ep2 and choose
the find 1 weekly option again. However it seems to have remembered the
earlier setting and marked the Wed showings as "L" and the Tues ones as the
ones to record. So instead I highlighted the Wed ones and choose "Record
every week at this timeslot". In effect that does what I want, except I
believe (perhap incorrectly?) that if the Wed recording fails for any reason
the "find 1 weekly" would record the Tues repeat whereas "record this
timeslot" isn't going to do that.

So I have two questions:

1) Is it possible to "re-set" the recording options in such a way that it's
going to set up the "find 1 weekly" with the Wed rather than Tue ep as the
first one recorded?

2) Is my understanding about the way "find 1 weekly" works correct? Will it
act as a "safety net" if the first recording fails (box is switch off etc)?

Thanks
