Right.  That will fix a whole set of problems that you haven't yet 
discovered (basically alignment of text/graphics and/or video aspect 
ratio issues).  It's unrelated to your quality issue.

Oh, also, you might want to check whether your PVR's are overheating for 
the quality issue.  I've seen pixelation and blurriness when they get 
too hot.
