Memory requirements have been pretty stable from what I can see for as
long as I can remember.

384 is what I'd recommend as a minimum for a combo front/backend
system. 512 is a pretty good amount which is what I'd recommend for
someone building a system and you could go up to 1GB and then give
MySQL more memory for caching.

Anything more than that really only gets used by filesystem cache by
the OS and because of the nature of the large files used by a mythtv
system doesn't really get used effectively.
