[mythtv-users] Adding transmitter to LIRC setup on Ubuntu

I put this on the LIRC list and got nothing...

I am on Ubunutu Dapper, have a working setup with Hauppage 250 card, and 
successfully somehow got LIRC working to control MythTV.

Now I want to use the RS232 blaster I got from
http://www.irblaster.info/

to my setup, but have not found any instructions that make sense to me.

I can't even remember all the stuff I've done to try to make it work, 
but I did add remote stuff for a SA 2200 to
/etc/lirc/lirc.conf

Went into Myth setup and told it to use a channel changing script and 
pointed it to one.

It's not working, Myth says recording failed.

I'm sure I'm missing some real fundamental thing(s) here, can anyone 
guide me or point me to a resource?
