[mythtv-users] "Failed to set channel" for scheduled recordings

Hi,

I went ahead and got an Nvidia card as previously suggested, and now almost
everything is working wonderfully!

Last night, I scheduled Saturday Night Live to be recorded, and it worked
smoothly. I also scheduled some shows to be recorded this morning, but it
didn't work. When I look on the program guide, it tells me "recording failed",
and the log messages look like the following:

2006-11-19 08:57:01.173 TVRec(1): Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2006-11-19 08:57:01.215 TVRec(1): HW Tuner: 1->1
2006-11-19 08:57:01.220 Channel(/dev/video0): SetInputAndFormat() failed
2006-11-19 08:57:01.220 TVRec(1) Error: Failed to set channel to 24. Reverting
to kState_None
2006-11-19 08:57:01.221 TVRec(1): Changing from RecordingOnly to None
2006-11-19 08:57:01.254 Canceled recording (Recorder Failed): This Week With
George Stephanopoulos: channel 1024 on cardid 1, sourceid 1
2006-11-19 08:57:04.325 Error deleting
'/myth/space/Recordings/1024_20061119085700.mpg': No such file or directory
2006-11-19 08:57:10.354 Reschedule requested for id 0.
2006-11-19 08:57:11.109 Scheduled 121 items in 0.8 = 0.01 match + 0.75 place

Does anyone know what I might do to fix this?

I looked on Google and it sounds like it might be related to poor signal
strength coming from the antenna? I tried repositioning the antenna so that it
gives me a pretty good picture on all the channels, but my attempted recordings
still fail in the same way.

Thanks a lot!

   Jared
