I can't help with your specific problem, but have a suggestion.  You
may want to scrap the idea of using the 350 as a tv-out device.
Developers are not fully supporting this, and going forward, you will
lose a lot of the additional functionality incorporated in myth.  As
it stands now, you probably can't play dvds, use mythgames, use
certain visualizations in mythmusic and use the opengl screen painter.

A 5200fx should go for around $25-$50, so unless you have no spare
slots in your computer, there is really no reason to not go this
route.  It will save you a ton of hassle and headache, and the picture
quality is definitely good enough.
