[mythtv-users] recording previously recorded programs

I have a Dish PVR, which has a few recorded programs on it.

Right now I'm struggling to get the Dish recordings recorded onto the
Myth box. What I'm currently doing, very poorly, is get to a channel
that has a 1.5 hour program, and try to get the mythtv box recording
while I quickly switch back to the Dish pvr, and get the program I want
started.

The problem with this setup, sometimes I only get a few minutes of
recording or none at all.

Are there other ways to accomplish this?
