That is, and has always been, the wrong way to fix font sizes.  You 
should specify a DisplaySize value such that you get 100 DPI vertical 
and horizontal (see bottom of post for values).

Good.  That means you can fix things properly, now. ;)

There will be a post on the dev list titled "Re: [mythtv] 
[mythtv-commits] Ticket #1549: Font size preferences are ignored in most 
places" that explains why and how to fix it (hasn't made it to the 
archives, yet).  The short version is that you need to edit your theme's 
"*ui.xml" files (all of the ones that end with "ui.xml", including 
"music-ui.xml", etc.  It should be self explanatory once you look at the 
file.
