I dont quite understand the second paragraph as you state in the
subject line and first paragraph it works outside of Myth?

Things to make sure are correct include:

i) the freqid values for all channels being controlled by the IR
blaster agree with the channel numbers on the receiver
ii) the name of the remote definition the script is using
iii) whether the remote definition is complete/correct
iv) whether the script is executable

(Points ii to iv are likely okay as the script runs without issue from
the command line.)
