Ryan,

it's a piece of cake. just copy your videos to your mythbox and into
the /myth/videos directory. after they're all copied over you hope on
the frontend and jump into Utilities/Setup and then the video manager.
when you enter the video manager it scans the /myth/video directory
for new videos. they then are added to the DB. now you pop back out
to the main menu. go to the selection under watch tv (recordings or
media???) and select videos instead of recordings. you should be able
to select and watch your vids now. as far as i know, if you want to
delete them after watching them you have to go back into the video
manager. MythVideo is the program that is used by default i believe.
you can go into setup and specify xine or mplayer if you prefer, but
so far i've been able to play everything fine with MythVideo. now if
you're planning on putting ripped dvds in your video directory and
want to access the menus i think you'll have to use xine (does mplayer
handle that now?). but using a different viewer is not very difficult
to set up.
hope that helps!
