I could really do with some help if you are offering!
- Can you confirm what setting you have in settings->playback, are you
using XvMC or XvMC VIA?
- Are you using the x11 via driver, openchrome, unichrome or something
else?!
- Did you configure with --enable-xvmc and --enable-xvmc-vld ?

I have a new frontend (just setting up, had backend working for a few
weeks) and to get an easy via install with xorg 7.x I used Fedora Core
5. This seems to have gone ok, compiled Myth ok with "./configure
--enable-xv --enable-xvmc --enable-xvmc-vld" but playback in software
still I think.

myth gives me options for XvMC and XvMX VIA in the playback settings.

The XvMC Via ones barf out in a serious way:

Anyone got any suggestions? I am listing libviaXvMC.so in
/etc/X11/XvMCConfig by the way...

Alternativly, anyone suggest a all in one install with 0.19 (cause I
have my backend running 19 happily), I tried one of the network boot
myths a while back (before xvmc issues) and it was ok but I had issues
on my network using DHCP on the server not on my router (wireless
clients etc blah blah) so would rather have an installed distro..

any help appreciated, been at this for about a week now and finally
giving up... I have like 70GB of recordings I want to watch and an
uncomfy chair in my study where the backend is - need frontend near the
sofa!

Paul
