There are 3 different ATI RF remotes. This site has a good overview:
http://remotew.free.fr/product.htm
I highly recommend the Remote Wonder Plus as it is a nicer remote because:
- buttons are like tradition remote buttons (rubber)
- range is increased
- much slimmer and lighter (uses 2 x AAA batteries)
- includes better receiver
I brought a Remote Wonder Plus and unfortunately neither the kernel
driver or LIRC supported it. I got it working with a patch sent to
this list and there are some details here:

It works 100% but the code still needs to be integrated back to LIRC
and it still needs a tiny bit of work so only one code needs to be
defined for each button.

I ran into an odd situation... I have my case sitting open emitting a
lot of RF no doubt but I found that with the Nvidia 6629 drivers my
remote was practically unuseable while with the newer drivers it works
great. I was able to reproduce this by switching back and forth. Maybe
my video card is part of the problem (AGP Nvidia MX440) but it is very
strange.

You would need two receivers to run two copies of lircd at the same
time but it would work without a problem. Another replier suggested
you could include both definitions in your lircd.conf for the remotes
but I haven't tried this yet.
