Yes, that is what I did when I was using my XBox as a
frontend (because the video out was pretty darn good).
If you have a remote control that supports them (One
For All do, some other UEI-based remotes do, or if you
have a JP1 remote), you can map EFCs (Extended?
Function Codes) to the extra buttons on your remote
control and use them.
