[mythtv-users] Normalize Recorded Shows

I have a problem where many of the channels I record are recording 
very quietly, others are fine.  Is there a way to run a script over 
all the recordings and normalize the audio across the board so that 
it is significantly louder in some cases, and pretty much the same in 
the others?  I've read discussions about work being done to fix the 
different-channel/different-volume problem, but I haven't seen 
anything about dealing with already existing recordings. Optimally 
I'd like to run it over all new recordings too.
