Hi all,
Looks like the One Who Must Be Obeyed is going to give me some cash to by a
third TV card.
Funny how she can Justify the cost of a new card when its her shows that are
not going to get recorded due the 28 min wrapper i have to put on the shows
here in Australia.
(should hit her up for a new 200 GB HDD as well..... weeeeeeeee)
Here is the backend config for you.
Dedicated Backend
----------------------
Myth 0.18.1
P3 1gig
528 MB Ram
crappy graphic card (dont use it)
1x 20GB HDD (system)
1x 80 GB HDD (Recordings)
2x Dvico Fusion HDTV DVB-T LITE cards.
--------------------
I only record in SD
And i have decided to go with the Dvico cards again.
they are every where down here and they work. (if it aint broke dont fix it)
So my questions are.
I read on the list here that there is a problem with having more than 2 of
the lite cards in the same backend. ( I searched on server different
variations of the Dvico, DVT-Lite, max cards etc. there is a lot of posts
there but i could not find any thing regarding this. From what i remember it
had something to do with the chip set)
1. can anyone confirm this?
Ignore the fact that the it is only 80GB (i had more but the HDD died, we
dont keep them for more than a couple of days anyway)
2. will the hdd be able to keep up with 3xSD streams?
If have to go to the PLUS card can somebody tell me what modules i have to
load. They are not the same as the lite as the main chip is different.
They then again i could just tell SWMBO that she has to choose between LOST
and LasVegas.
I am a bit stupid, but i am not ***that*** stupid
THanks
Chris
