Yeah, the rebates that are through Tiger directly (no pun intended)  
or through the manufacturers are as good as MIRs ever are, it's just  
the OnRebate ones that are trouble.

One of their tricks is to offer to process your rebate more quickly  
for a "small fee", to be deducted from your rebate, otherwise  
processing might take "3 or 4 months".

You also cannot get the rebate unless you have:

Internet service
an Email account
a computer (obviously)
a printer
The "original" invoice

There is absolutely *no* way to obtain the rebate "manually", they  
say that right on their site, AFTER you have purchased the product.  
Kind of a problem for my 80-year old Mom who has bought a TV set.

I once tried to register for a rebate and got noplace on their site.  
I finally called them, and after close to an hour on hold was told  
"there must be something wrong with the site, try again in a few  
days". Needless to say...
