I've run 64-bit since my first DEC 21064 (aka "alpha") machine.  
Frustrating at times, but fun, and really great for video transcoding  
work.

I've found Gentoo's support for 64-bit hardware to be quite good,  
it's only the proprietary stuff (Flash?) that still gives trouble at  
times.

"Dammit you *can't* make a pointer from an integer, I don't care if  
it *does* work on your &^#$$%^# Intel machine" :-)
