I should add, my parents remodel will have a similar layout for their
hometheatre room, 3 walls, no back wall. My mom's plan is to continue to use
the Energy Take 5 (she enjoys the home theatre experience as much as my dad,
it just took the great quality and living room comfort experience in person
to convince her). Using wall mounts for the surrounds, mounting them about
1ft below the ceiling and angling them towards the sitting area. The front
l/r will sit on some very stylish stands that she picked out to match the tv
stand she picked out. She's an Architect/Interior Decorator, so after a
half-hour of explaining room acoustics to her we were able to lay this design
out.
That said, I do love what you've done with the place, the large room is the
same concept my parents are going for, it really opens the place up and gives
the feeling of grandeur. Good luck in convincing the wife!
