I followed the instructions given in Jarod C. Wilson <jarod at wilsonet.com>'s
guide. Therefore, my kernel version is 2.6.14-1_1656_FC4. The "0.8.0-CVS"
lirc version are obtained from the ATrpms together with the kernel modules
as directed in the guide.

As for the LIRC_OPTS variable, this is the first time I have heard of it.
Where to I check that and how should I set it. One more thing, I discovered
that I do not have /dev/lirc rather I have /dev/lircd. Is this normal?
