[mythtv-users] Why is my 350's audio so much l-l-louder! than the 250's?

Apparently not. See below.

I CC'ed my original message to ivtv-users, and Hans replied, but only
to that list:

In general it is next to impossible to make any assumptions on the
volume level captured by a card: it depends on the make, model, chips
used, tuner used, signal quality, etc. I have two pvr350 cards, one an
old model, the other new and they have totally different recording
levels.
Does anyone know if a per-card audio level is already present in SVN?
I couldn't find any mention of it in the archives for the -dev and
-commit lists, but I don't run SVN. I'd be perfectly happy to open a
ticket for this issue, assuming that it's actually going to be viewed
as a bug and not a feature request without code; would any developers
care to weigh in?
(Note that people who have entirely different brands of cards mixed
together and/or both analog and digital sources -really- shouldn't be
expected to have them all have similar levels without the ability to
individually adjust 'em...)
