This starts mtd as root. You should really run it as your mythtv user
(i.e. using su/sudo).

Since it works for both users, you've either configured your frontend
with <prefix>/share/mythtv/mysql.txt instead of ~/.mythtv/mysql.txt
(which is a good way of doing it) or you have ~/.mythtv/mysql.txt in
root's home, also (which, IMHO, is very ugly).
