So I finally tracked it down, it was the Albatron FX5200 LP video card that
was at fault. I hooked up a monitor and a TV at the same time, and booted
the system and immediately jumped into the bios (before the OS/drivers
load). The video on the monitor was real time, but changes didn't occur
until nearly 3 seconds later on the television. Replacing the card with
another Albatron FX5200 LP had the same results. Contacting Albatron was
nearly impossible because the numbers on their website have been
disconnected. Switched to an MSI card and everything seems to be working
fine. But give me time I'm sure I'll find something else to write about now
that I can play with myth on a regular basis :) Thanks to everyone who
offered advice!!! :)
