[mythtv-users] convert *.nuv files to dvd allowable files

This computer is running debian etch/testing, the MythTV box is running
some version of gentoo.

I've been trying to convert (I know they are mpg files) the *.nue files
to get them to sync (audio & video) onto another computer, along with
removing commercials.

So far I've tried avidmux to get them "converted", but when I play them
using mplayer, the audio starts (continues) to lag after a minute or so.

I know I'm missing something, but I don't know what.

Any pointers?

Thanks
