Hi Doug,

A couple of things to check are:

i) check mythtvsetup on the slave machine to make sure the capture
card is correctly setup (correct input connected to a valid source)
ii) if ivtv has been updated on the slave machine, ensure that the
devices are correctly created and have suitable permissions for
mythbackend on the slave. Also check to make sure the tuner type is
being correctly configured.

There was a similar post from a user in the same predicament last
week, which was resolved by checking and fixing input connections.
