Thanks one more time for the additional comments, the ones at the top
of the file.  The specific examples are an improvement, especially to folks
like me who tend to be a bit timid when it comes to changing configuration
files with which they are unfamiliar.

Here's an update to the status of my Mythweb installation:  I was able to
recover the .htaccess file from the previously-installed version.  I just
put it in the /var/www/html/mythweb directory, restarted Apache, and
Mythweb came up beautifully.

I don't recommend to anyone the use of the now-obsolete .htaccess file,
but I just wanted to say how happy it made me to get Mythweb working again.
