[mythtv-users] Playing local files with frontend?

I'm testing a mythfrontend on a marginal system. The backend is on a 
different machine and I'm not getting the performance I would like 
compared to xine or mplayer playing the same mpg locally.

I would like to make mythfrontend play the mpg locally to isolate the 
network issue. Is there a way to do that without setting up a local backend?
