I'm far from an expert, but my understanding is that Myth just gets
whatever the source wants to send.  In this case, it sounds like your 6200
is sending bad data - especially since it affects the analog outputs too.

Can you duplicate the problem without firewire?  It might just be that
you've got a bad box on your hands.  Maybe the cable co. will exchange it?
 I dunno, it's a pretty strange sounding problem.
